Your Privacy Choices

As a Holedo member, you have control over your visibility and how your data is used on the platform. You can choose between Social Mode and Career Mode. Please note that switching to Career Mode involves consenting to data processing by recruiters and employers, as outlined in our Data Processing Agreement.

If you prefer to enjoy the community aspects of Holedo without participating in job searches, you can choose to be in "Social Mode." In this mode, you can publish your profile, participate in the membership-facing side of the platform, and use all chat functions free of charge. Other members can still find you in searches within the membership community, but recruiters and headhunters won’t have access to your profile or be able to use Relationship Management Tools with it.

2. Career Mode: Engaging with Employers

When you’re ready to be visible to recruiters and headhunters, you can switch to "Career Mode." In this mode, your profile becomes part of the talent pool that is visible to all recruiters, headhunters, and employers on the platform. This means that your profile becomes accessible across the entire recruiting platform, and employers can use Relationship Management Tools to manage interactions with you.

By switching to Career Mode, you consent to the terms outlined in our Data Processing Agreement. This agreement governs how your data will be processed by employers and recruiters using the platform.

You cannot toggle off Career Mode after applying for a job. By participating in the job application process, you are opting into being a part of the broader recruitment database. If you want to avoid being part of the talent pool, the best option is to remain in Social Mode and refrain from applying for jobs through Holedo.

3. Full Control Over Your Data

If you decide that Holedo isn’t the right fit for you, you can delete your profile at any time. This will remove all your data from our system, ensuring that no information about you remains on the platform. You can delete your profile through the Settings Panel.

For Employers

As an employer, you are also a member of Holedo. This means you must maintain a profile on the platform to use the employer features. For transparency, you cannot be in Social Mode as an employer—your profile must remain in Career Mode. This ensures that all recruiters and employers are subject to the same level of visibility and accountability as job seekers. Knowing that others can attach Relationship Management Tools to your profile encourages responsible use of these features.

Employer and Headhunter Interactions and Your Data

Relationship Management Tools

Recruiters, headhunters, and employers on Holedo use Relationship Management Tools to manage interactions with candidates. Once you engage in the job application process, any recruiter or headhunter can manage their interactions with you using these tools. This data is strictly private and tied to the specific employer or headhunter managing your relationship. It’s not publicly accessible and is used solely for one-on-one interactions between you and those entities.

Job History and Chats

While recruiters and headhunters manage their interactions using Relationship Management Tools, you also have access to all your communications through our advanced chat platform. This allows you to track your conversations and interactions with companies and recruiters.

Transparency and Commitment

At Holedo, we’re committed to transforming the traditional job application process—often a "black hole" where applicants are left in the dark—into a more transparent and fair system. We recognise that employers have always kept records about potential employees, whether on spreadsheets, in notebooks, or through internal CRMs, but this has often been done without transparency or adherence to privacy laws.

We’re changing that by being upfront about how data is managed and by building more tools that give you, the employee, full visibility over your job application journey. As we continue to improve the platform, we will update this policy to reflect new features that empower you and enhance transparency.

Your Choice

We believe in keeping things straightforward and transparent. By applying for jobs on Holedo, you agree to participate in the talent pool and understand how your data will be used. If you’re uncomfortable with these terms, we recommend that you delete your profile through the Settings Panel.

If you decide to leave, you’re always welcome to come back, but please note that your original username will no longer be available for use.
